Continental Resources President and CEO Doug Lawler will serve as the featured speaker at The Petroleum Alliance’s Wildcatters Wednesday luncheon on April 29.

Lawler joined Continental in 2022 as chief operating officer and executive vice president, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry. Prior to Continental, he served as president and CEO of Chesapeake Energy Corporation, where he also sat on the company’s board of directors until 2021.

Lawler began his career with Kerr-McGee in 1988 and continued with Anadarko Petroleum following its acquisition of Kerr-McGee in 2006. During his time at Anadarko, he held several key leadership roles, including senior vice president of international and deepwater operations and member of the company’s executive committee, along with multiple vice president positions spanning international operations, regional operations, and corporate planning.
