LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE
This committee provides information and analysis on the impact of proposed legislation on our industry. Committee members and staff review the more than 2,000 bills introduced each session in Oklahoma and are responsible for evaluating all legislation which could affect the oil or natural gas industry. They monitor, report, and carry out the board of directors’ policy with respect to any and all legislative issues before local and state bodies. This committee meets regularly during legislative sessions and as needed the rest of the year.
TAX SUBCOMMITTEE
This subcommittee is responsible for monitoring and evaluating all tax issues which could affect the oil or natural gas industry in Oklahoma. This subcommittee focuses on regulations and legislation involved in the payment of taxes and develops proposals for changes in various tax laws, rules and regulations. The committee maintains communication with divisions of the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Meetings are held as needed.

This committee is responsible for monitoring and evaluating all legal matters which could affect the oil or natural gas industry. The committee reviews court decisions and pending litigation to determine the impact on the industry. It also serves as a forum for the discussion and analysis of key legal questions that could impact the industry. The committee serves as the foundation for creating special ad hoc groups formed to represent the oil and natural gas industry’s interest in litigation. Meetings are held once a quarter or as needed.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITTEE
This committee is responsible for monitoring and evaluating all state regulatory issues which could affect the oil and natural gas industry in Oklahoma.
AIR SUBCOMMITTEE
This subcommittee reviews air quality legislation, rules, and regulations and prepares responses to these proposals. The committee takes an active role in preparing comments and testimony on proposed rules and regulations before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, the Department of Environmental Quality, and other regulatory agencies. Meetings are held as needed.
WATER SUBCOMMITTEE
This subcommittee reviews and responds to water quality legislation, rules, and regulations developed by state agencies. The subcommittee takes an active role in preparing comments and testimony on proposed rules and regulations before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, the Department of Environmental Quality, and other regulatory agencies. Meetings are held as needed.
HEALTH & SAFETY SUBCOMMITTEE
This subcommittee consists of professionals involved in developing safe work practices for employees and contractors working for the companies they represent. The committee meets quarterly to share best practices, lessons learned, safety alerts and information concerning current health & safety issues arising in the petroleum industry. This committee is responsible for monitoring the safety environment as it relates to the industry in Oklahoma.

BLM/FEDERAL ISSUES/WILDLIFE SUBCOMMITTEE
This subcommittee is responsible for monitoring and evaluating all federal regulations which could affect the oil and natural gas industry on federal lands in Oklahoma. Meetings are held as needed.
PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE

This committee is responsible for advancing the advocacy goals of the Alliance. The committee works to shape messaging on evolving issues and fine-tune strategy to promote advocacy goals. Meetings are held once a quarter or as needed.
MEMBERSHIP & ORGANIZATION COMMITTEES
MEMBERSHIP & ORGANIZATION COMMITTEE
This committee is responsible for developing and implementing programs intended to achieve and maintain the highest possible membership in the Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma, including recruiting new members, retaining current members, and working with the Wildcatters Club president to help recruit and retain members. This committee discusses all matters regarding strategic planning for the Alliance membership and advises on events, membership marketing, and creating short-term and long-term plans for recommendation to the Executive Committee. Meetings are held once a quarter or as needed.
FUNDRAISING AUCTION SUBCOMMITTEE
The Petroleum Alliance Fundraising Auction Subcommittee consists of professionals from both the exploration and production and oilfield services sectors. The primary focus of this group is to identify timely and in-demand services, products, and other applicable items for the purposes of supporting the annual Fundraising Auction. Members of this group will be expected to assist in soliciting donations from member companies and to recruit and educate prospective bidding companies to ensure maximum participation.

The Upstream E&P Operators Committee serves as a forum for active oil and natural gas producers to provide thoughtful input on how to address and solve potential challenges.

This committee provides an opportunity for addressing issues specifically relating to the midstream and refining sectors of Oklahoma’s oil and gas industry. The committee also provides input for the development of legislation and regulations to be advocated by the Alliance. Meetings are held as needed.

The Oilfield Services Committee provides an opportunity for addressing issues relating to the oilfield services sector. The committee also provides input into the development of legislation and regulations to be advocated by the Alliance. Committee members consist of any engaged member representing an oilfield services company. Meetings are held as needed.
