Oklahoma Safety Stand-Down
Activity is increasing in Oklahoma’s oilfields, and the men and women of Oklahoma’s oil and natural gas industry are working around the clock to help meet our nation’s energy needs. Worker safety is a core value for our industry, and on Aug. 24 Oklahoma’s oil and gas industry will emphasize that commitment to safety with a statewide Oklahoma Safety Stand-Down.
The Alliance asks member companies and their contractors, subcontractors and vendors to suspend work for at least one hour on that day and hold on-site safety meetings with all workers. To assist member companies, The Petroleum Alliance Health & Safety Subcommittee has created a one-page flier that provides sample safety topics for Oklahoma’s oil and natural gas industry workers.
