Simmons: Petroleum, agriculture face similar threats
Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma President Brook A. Simmons issued the following statement following today’s announcement of the formation of Royalty Owner Coalition of Oklahoma (ROCO):
“The Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma will work well with ROCO just as we continue to work well with ROCO’s founding member organizations,” Simmons said. “There is much more that unites us than divides us. From royalty owner to off-road diesel fuel delivery driver, every portion of our state’s defining industry should be focused on public policies that will bring oil and natural gas investment here instead of driving it to competing states. Oklahoma’s agriculture and petroleum industries face similar threats from the same elites who neither understand, nor appreciate, the men and women who produce the fuel, food and fiber to enable human progress. Welcome, ROCO.”
ABOUT THE PETROLEUM ALLIANCE – The Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma is the only trade association in Oklahoma that represents every segment of the oil and natural gas industry, representing more than 1,300 member companies engaged in the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of the state’s defining industry.
