Hatfield elected to Petroleum Alliance chairmanship
Crawley Petroleum’s Kim Hatfield has been elected to serve as chairman of The Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma, the state’s largest trade association representing the oil and natural gas industry and one of the nation’s largest statewide oil and natural gas trade associations.
Hatfield’s appointment came following a unanimous vote of The Alliance board of directors at the organization’s Annual Meeting on June 4. Other officers elected were:
- Vice Chairman – Chuck Duginski, Canvas Energy
- Treasurer — Greg Shepherd, Mewbourne Oil Co.
- Secretary – Heather Powell, Ventana Exploration & Production
“The Petroleum Alliance is the voice of Oklahoma oil and gas, and I’m honored to help lead that effort,” Hatfield said. “We have a clear mission: protect our industry, promote growth, and ensure that Oklahoma remains a national leader in energy production — all while continuing to deliver real economic benefits to the citizens of our state.”
Hatfield is CEO of Oklahoma City’s Crawley Petroleum and Crawley Ventures. He joined Crawley Petroleum in 1980, became president in 1985, and was named CEO in 2019. Hatfield is on the board of Crawley Petroleum, Enertia Software, Oklahoma Energy Explorers, CertiPath, Skydex, and the board of visitors for the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy at the University of Oklahoma.
Hatfield holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering and a master’s in petroleum finance from the University of Oklahoma and completed Harvard’s Owner-President Management Program in 1987.
