Who’s your favorite Oklahoman? Hard to pick only one, but Steve Largent is a man I greatly respect – for his leadership and authenticity on and off the field as well as his commitment to the community and devotion to his family.
If you could eat one food the rest of your life, what would it be? Macaroni and cheese.
Mountains or beach? Beach.
Have you met anyone famous? When I was playing competitive golf in high school, I played two rounds with Tiger Woods.
What’s your favorite drink? Tito’s and soda.
Favorite college team? Baylor Bears.
In one sentence, what do you actually do all day in your job? I spend my days engaging with customers, industry partners and other stakeholders to cultivate relationships, increase brand visibility and reputation for H&P.
Favorite band in junior high? Bon Jovi.
Name of your pet? We went with the Café Du Monde theme for our three Goldendoodles: Beignet, Chickery and Sugar.
What was your first job? Fore Caddy at Tulsa Country Club.
What was your first car? Buick LaSabre (thanks Mom and Dad).
If you could have dinner with one person, alive or dead, who would it be? My maternal grandfather who I never met but I have heard great things about.
What was your favorite TV show as a child? Dukes of Hazzard.
What’s the number one item you would save from your burning house? My kids. I guess that really isn’t an “item.” Probably the kids’ files with birth certificates and keepsakes from their childhood.
What is your favorite thing about working in the oil and gas industry? The good people and authentic relationships. There’s not much of a distinction between my personal and professional relationships. I genuinely consider some of our customers, vendors and other service providers among my closest friends.
What is your favorite holiday? Christmas.
What is the best gift you have ever received? I know it will sound funny but a golf bag my wife gave me five years ago. It’s a good story.
What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery? See a tax professional. Then, plan an extravagant trip for my wife Liz and my extended family.
Last movie you saw at the theater? I hate to admit this, and remember I have three small kids plus COVID: Trolls 2.
What’s your favorite app? I am on three apps the most: Wall Street Journal, Houston Astros and Ipswich Town Football Club.
