Petroleum Alliance board member Greg Shepherd has been appointed to the organization’s Executive Committee following a unanimous vote by his Board of Directors peers.
A member of the Petroleum Alliance Board of Directors since 2016, Shepherd currently serves as the District Exploration Manager for Mewbourne Oil Company (MOC).
Shepherd’s career with MOC began as a student at Shawnee High School in 2003, when he was awarded the Mewbourne Leadership Scholarship to study petroleum engineering at the University of Oklahoma. After working as an MOC intern throughout his time at OU, Shepherd joined the company as a drilling and completions engineer in Perryton, Texas, following his graduation in 2007. He spent the next several years in various MOC offices until being transferred to Oklahoma City in 2012.
In 2018, Shepherd was promoted to his current role, where he works alongside a team of geologists, landmen and engineers with a focus on oil and natural gas prospects across western Oklahoma.
In addition to his service at The Petroleum Alliance, he currently serves on the Education Committee for the OERB and is a member of the Industry Advisory Board to the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy at the University of Oklahoma.
